ABOUT THE ROLE \n\n
To obtain and monitor, by chemical and physical tests, representative samples from the Production Department of raw materials, feed, clinker and cement, and advise them of adjustments to ensure a quality product with a minimum of variations.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING \n\n
\n\t - Analyze raw mix with X-ray, wet or physical analysis and instruct Raw Grind on change, and assist in solving any problems.
\n\t - Monitor clinker production with X-ray or wet analysis and insure quality clinker used in cement production.
\n\t - Monitor cement production with X-ray, wet or physical analyses and oversee adjustments to proportions, admixtures, fineness and air content, assist in solving any problems.
\n\t - Record accurately and timely, data for use by management and other departments.
\n\t - Perform complete ASTM chemical and physical test on daily composite samples to insure product meets strict plant standards.
\n\t - Perform periodic calibration and preventive maintenance checks on all equipment and maintain chemical solutions.
\n\t - Run proficiency samples against other labs.
\n\t - Take inventories of gypsum and admixtures.
\n\t - Perform microscopic evaluation of cement and clinker.
\n\t - Run heat content on calorimeter.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR \n\n
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
\nRequired Work Experience: At least one year experience in industrial laboratory situation
\nRequired Computer and Software Skills: General computer proficiency
\nAdditional Requirements:

\n\t - Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
\n\t - Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
