Based in York, PA, PCC began over 100 years ago as a manufacturer of energy related equipment for government and commercial customers. Today, PCC is a major domestic supplier to the Commercial Nuclear Industry, Departments of Energy and Defense, as well as NASA, Naval Shipyards, and other industrial and government customers.

We are seeking placement for a QUALITY METHODS TECHNICAL SPECIALIST.

\n

This position will maintain PCC’s Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) program. This position provides training to manufacturing, engineering, and other personnel relative to the technical requirements of these processes.

  • Identify and maintain M&TE
  • \n
  • Prepare calibration procedures
  • \n
  • Verify that calibration activities are performed in accordance with procedures/requirements
  • \n
  • Review/approve calibration data
  • \n
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for new gages and calibration of current gages
  • \n
  • Develop procedures and methods for dimensional measurement of a variety of components using standard inspection equipment, Laser Tracker, and other 3D Dimensional Measurement technology
  • \n
  • Analyze the measurement data for compliance with drawing and specification requirements
  • \n
  • Perform daily monitoring and troubleshooting inspection activities performed by Dimensional Inspectors
  • \n
  • Develop inspection activity improvements
  • \n
  • Interface with Engineers on inspection planning
  • \n
  • Provide drawing/specification interpretations to PCC personnel
  • \n
  • Other duties as assigned

\n

Education: B.S. in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or an Associate’s Degree in Metrology or Dimensional Inspection.

\n

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of industrial experience, or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in machining and/or inspection.

\n

Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills required. Must have a working knowledge of ERP software applications, such as EPICOR and IQS, Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.

\n

Other Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have thorough knowledge of dimensional inspection principles and their application to industrial inspection problems.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is required.
  • \n
  • Must be able to train manufacturing and inspection personnel to support skill development and qualification programs
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • \n
