Network / System Engineer (Financial Industry, Charlotte NC / Plano TX / Pennington NJ) Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network / System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities Work within the CDS operations engineering incident management team providing day to day support of incidents escalated from event monitoring and client engagement Investigate, analyze, troubleshoot incidents, and help triage business impacting events on bridge lines Document all work/project activities pertinent to job function Coordinate with engineering, operations, build, and application support teams Requirements 12+ years of experience with Red Hat Linux. RHEL 7, 8 and 9 5+ years of experience managing servers in an enterprise environment consisting of 2000 or more servers Demonstrate experience in troubleshooting issues related to RHEL OS and various x86 hardware Experience and complete working knowledge of operating system base health / welfare and x86 midrange client, Dell hardware troubleshooting Knowledge and experience supporting core systems and storage platform services such as DNS, Active Directory, NTP, PTP, EFS, SMTP, NIS, stateless boot, high speed NAS, RH clustering, Soli State disks Experience in diagnosing, researching and resolving any system platform related issues Solid understanding of storage products (NAS/SAN) Solid understanding of networking and DMZ environments Solid understanding of midrange hardware and components (Client/Dell/Mellanox/SolarFlare) Working knowledge of ITSM Remedy and ServiceNow Desired Skills Experience with enterprise tools such as Bladelogic Discovery and Tanium Working knowledge of Jira Scripting to facilitate large scale analysis with Perl, Shell, Python, Ansible Pay Range $48.89 - $56.89 Genesis10 is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
