Job Summary:
The Registered In-House Counsel will provide legal guidance and support across a diverse range of
matters. As a Registered In-House Counsel, they will be responsible for ensuring compliance with
healthcare regulations, contracts, employment law, corporate governance, and risk management. Their
duties will include reviewing, drafting, and negotiating legal documents, conducting legal research, and
collaborating with internal stakeholders to provide advice and guidance. Additionally, they will assist in
the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures while staying abreast of
emerging legal trends in healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Provides legal guidance and support to the team on a wide range of matters, including
healthcare regulations, contracts, employment law, corporate governance, and risk
management.
- Reviews, drafts, and negotiates various legal documents, including contracts, agreements,
policies, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and industry
standards.
- Conduct legal research and stay up to date with changes in healthcare laws and regulations to
ensure organizational compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executives, managers, and department heads,
to provide legal advice and guidance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies and procedures.
- Stays informed about emerging legal trends and best practices in healthcare.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the bar and licensed to practice law in California.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on healthcare law,
nonprofit organizations, and employment laws.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, regulations, and compliance
requirements.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
