We believe in doing the job right, every time, and supporting our teams with the tools, training, and trust they need to succeed.To continue providing the best support to our staff, we are looking for a Safety & Compliance Officer to join our Trucking and Repair division. If you have strong knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations, hold a CDL-A license with a clean driving record, and enjoy compliance, training, and safety management, this may be the right fit for you.
What You’ll Do:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with FMCSA, DOT, OSHA, CTPAT, and company standards
Conduct safety orientations and ongoing training for drivers and staff
Oversee OSHA compliance in our garage, including safe work practices, equipment use, and PPE adherence
Audit driver files, HOS logs, ELD data, and vehicle maintenance reports
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; manage post-accident testing and reporting
Conduct yard, terminal, and vehicle inspections, as well as random cab checks
Monitor safety events and compliance using fleet management platforms
Manage fleet-related administrative tasks, including fuel cards, EZ Pass accounts, filings, and vehicle registrations
Track and report safety, compliance, and operational metrics
Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and leadership to improve performance
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Transportation, or related field preferred
2–3 years of experience in transportation safety, compliance, or fleet operations
Current CDL-A license with a clean driving record required
Strong knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and OSHA required.
Knowledge with CTPAT a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet compliance platforms
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
OSHA or safety certifications preferred
