Part-time Sales and Customer Service Associate

Ship Arizona is striving to provide the best shipping, packing and mailbox services in Cochise County.

Ship Arizona has an excellent opportunity for a Sales and Customer Service Associate. While this position requires a general aptitude related to technical endeavors such as digital printing, addressing packages, sophisticated POS's, etc., at the core, we seek a person who loves helping people. This position centers around providing business service support to customers. We are a small town in a rural county and our customers are critical to our success. If you do not love helping people, making people at ease, going above and beyond for people, then this is not the position for you.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Work directly with customers to offer packaging and shipping for customers, professional and timely printing solutions, faxing, stocking, cleaning, selling retail gift items, using POS to ring in sales, etc. Training provided. Increased responsibilities and advancement with proven performance.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in retail customer service, sales, or other related fields preferred
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Outgoing individual with excellent customer service skills and know-how
• Computer skills must be comprehensive as 80% of the services we offer in the store require technical capabilities
• Must be very detail oriented and organized
• Position requires reliability and dependability
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

AZ Public Notary certification desirable; if not already a notary, must be able to pass Arizona Secretary of State background check to qualify for a notary license.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly manner; determine customer needs, and how to exceed their expectations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through customer engagement and quality product delivery.
• Be knowledgeable of products and services offered and properly promote them to customers.
• Identify customer needs and offer additional services which could benefit them.
• Receive, sort and place mail in mailboxes accurately.
• Record all sales transactions completely and accurately in Point of Sale system.
• Pack contents for shipping using established procedures and products.
• Receive and prepare documents for printing.
• Operate all other software packages.
• Receive and process packages for shipping, including lifting and weighing packages, accessing shipment manifesting software, and generating labels.
• May require retrieving packages from customer's vehicle when requested.
• Process and document damaged shipments, late and lost package claims.
• Assist in merchandising the store, including: stocking shelves with product, ensuring clean and orderly appearance of product, informing appropriate personnel of inventory levels for re-ordering supplies.
• Perform end of day duties: reconciliation of cash register, checks, credit cards, and all other transactions accurately and in accordance with Ship Arizona policy and procedure.
• Operate printers, fax machine, laminator, stapler, and all other office machines in a safe, efficient and productive manner.
• General housekeeping duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
