About the Role

Gardner Construction is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Sales Lead & Estimator to join our growing residential concrete team. In this role, you’ll be the primary point of contact for customers—from initial consult through proposal and job kickoff. You’ll own the estimating process, handle warm inbound leads, pursue select outbound opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person sales consultations with warm residential leads (appointments booked for you)
• Scope and price jobs accurately using Buildertrend based on company standards and best practices
• Deliver clear, timely proposals to homeowners and contractors
• Manage all follow-up communication to close deals (calls, texts, emails)
• Apply for necessary permits and coordinate with city officials as needed
• Resolve customer concerns professionally before, during, and after the job
• Identify and pursue select outbound opportunities, including with homebuilders, property managers, and HOAs
• Collaborate with operations team to hand off jobs smoothly and ensure client expectations align with scope

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in construction sales, estimating, or project management (concrete experience a plus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you’re confident face-to-face and follow through consistently
• Ability to read site conditions, measure jobs accurately, and create clear work scopes
• Tech-savvy and organized—comfortable using Buildertrend, CRM tools, email, and phone to manage your pipeline
• Self-starter mindset with high personal accountability—you own your sales numbers
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to customer sites across the Twin Cities
