Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sanitation Manager to join our Food Manufacturing team for the night shift. This role is integral to ensuring our food products meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all sanitation operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, and driving continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation programs and procedures in compliance with SSOP, HACCP, FDA, USDA, BRC, and SQF standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure all areas of the manufacturing facility meet sanitation standards.
  • Train and supervise sanitation staff, ensuring they understand and adhere to all sanitation protocols and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to address any sanitation issues that may impact product quality.
  • Monitor and control sanitation costs, including labor, equipment, and supplies, while maintaining high sanitation standards.
  • Lead investigations into sanitation-related issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations in sanitation and food safety.
Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sanitation role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of SSOP, HACCP, Food Safety, Quality, FDA, USDA, BRC, and SQF.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address sanitation issues promptly and effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate sanitation protocols and procedures to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work night shift and handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certified Professional Food Safety (CPFS) certification or equivalent is a plus.
