The 1:1 School LPN/LVN is responsible for identifying andaddressing health concerns in students within the school setting. This roleincludes promoting general wellness, providing health education, and supportingdisease prevention efforts. The School LPN/LVN monitors the student's physicalcondition throughout the school day and refers to appropriate healthcareresources when necessary. All care is delivered in accordance with the SchoolLPN/LVN scope of practice and in compliance with applicable state educationcodes.
The school LPN will either work 1:1 supporting a medically fragile student, health room, or in a float capacity supporting the school district as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
Current LPN/LVN license in the state which services arebeing provided
One year of school nurse experience, preferred
One-year pediatric experience, pre
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
