POSITION OBJECTIVE: A security guard consistently monitors to keep the campus safe. An experienced security guard is a detailed and friendly person, who will build strong professional relationships with staff, students and community.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.) - Inspect and patrol premises regularly
- Monitor property entrance
- Authorize entrance of people and vehicles
- Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings
- Secure all exits, doors and windows
- Monitor surveillance cameras
- Respond to alarms and react in a timely manner
- Provide assistance to people in need
- Submit reports of every suspicious action
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require): - High School Diploma
- Possession of a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Security guard license and/or law enforcement experience preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to young people's learning success and achievement, a must!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
