Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control Supervisor in Milford, DE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a critical role in maintaining a secure environment at a dynamic food and beverage location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service through clear communication and a caring approach. What You'll Do:

• Control access to the location by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
• Support the implementation of security-related procedures tailored for the food and beverage environment.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees and visitors with directions and information as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help identify and report any unusual activity.
• Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Collaborate with site personnel to help maintain a secure environment within the food and beverage production or processing area.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
