Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team. Your main duties will include:
1. Overseeing and managing the general ledger.
2. Conducting monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
3. Analyzing financial statements and reports.
4. Collaborating with team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
5. Working closely with auditors during financial and operational audits.
6. Developing and implementing accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
7. Assisting in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
8. Assisting in tax preparation and filing activities.
9. Providing guidance to other Accountants when needed.
10. Utilizing Abila MIP for various accounting functions.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Senior Accountant position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in Abila MIP is a must.
4. Prior experience in the nonprofit industry is a plus.
5. Solid understanding of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
6. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages.
7. Strong knowledge of GAAP.
8. Excellent numerical skills with an attention to detail.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
