Job Description

The opportunity pertains to a full-time Senior Embedded Software Engineer role based out of Roanoke, VA. Applicants should have extensive experience in C, C++, along with Python. The ideal candidate is one that has a top-secret clearance or the eligibility to obtain one in the future and has a willingness to relocate to Southwest Virginia. As industry leaders in the national defense space, the company specializes in reverse engineering and creating technologies that are critical to partners around the world. The position will consist of reverse engineering systems, mentoring younger engineers, and creation of new designs and software to assist the other company subsidiaries. Required Skills & Experience: U.S. Citizen Extensive knowledge and application of C, C++, Python, Java Willing and able to acquire and hold a DoD security clearance Ability to absorb new skills 9 years of experience with an undergrad degree OR 7 years of experience with a master’s in a relevant field Desired Skills & Experience: Holds current security clearance prior to hiring process. Ability to showcase design patterns Past development using Agile Prior experience with code review, binary patching, and encryption scheme circumvention Source control system knowledge (primarily git) Daily Responsibilities: Spearheading reverse engineering practices Guiding junior team members Collaborate with colleagues to create new ideas and willingness to accept advice and code reviews.
