Job Description

Engage your expertise in a fulfilling role, providing essential communication support to middle school students. This position is based in Bothell, WA, and runs from September 3, 2025, to June 17, 2026, with the possibility of extension due to snow days or other unforeseen circumstances.

Qualifications:

• Certified Sign Language Interpreter
• Minimum EIPA score of 4.0
• Experience interpreting for educational settings, particularly with middle school-aged students
• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate with educators and staff effectively

Location: Bothell, WA

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person interpreting services for deaf or hard-of-hearing students in a middle school setting.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to facilitate effective communication and support student learning.
• Prepare for interpreting assignments by reviewing lesson plans and attending meetings as required.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to ethical standards in all interpreting activities.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance interpreting skills and knowledge.
