As a Sr. Consumer Insights Lead within the Marketing Strategy team, you will be responsible for driving deep, actional understanding of consumer behaviors, attitudes, and needs. You will lead the design and execution of research programs that inform marketing strategies and targeting, using both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling insights through relevant storytelling is critical to this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of customer and market research projects-from scoping and methodology design to analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct quantitative (e.g., surveys, segmentation, conjoint analysis) and qualitative (e.g., focus groups, IDIs, ethnographies) research to uncover customer needs, perceptions, and pain points.
  • Partner with key teams within Marketing, PR, Activation and Leadership, to align research initiatives with business priorities and to ensure it supports cross-department goals.
  • Develop and maintain customer segmentation models and personas that inform marketing strategy and targeting.
  • Manage external research vendors and consultants when needed, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and timely delivery.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and reports that turn data into strategic insights, influencing decision-making at the highest levels.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging client needs to inform forward-looking strategies.
  • Collaborate with analytics, data science, product research and customer experience teams to integrate behavioral and transactional data into consumer insight narratives.
  • Review external research sources for marketing use and ensure proper and consistent citation, and audit use of research and statistics for quality control.
  • Champion a client-first mindset across the organization.
Qualifications

Education/Certification:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Business, or related field
OR
  • Equivalent years of experience in related field
Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or marketing analytics, preferably within a technology or B2B environment.
  • Deep expertise in a wide range of research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect insights to strategic decisions.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, SPSS, Tableau, Excel a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills-both written and verbal-with experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience influencing product and marketing strategies through data-driven insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influence skills.
