Job Description Job Description Seeking Full or Part Time degreed accountant or candidate pursuing an MS Tax or Advanced Accounting Degree for an entry level to senior level staff accountant position. Small public accounting firm (staff of six) seeks an individual with applicable education pursuing CPA Certification for a staff accounting position providing accounting services to small business clients utilizing the latest in technology. Position also provides opportunities to learn income tax preparation and tax planning. Position requires an individual with good analytical ability, is quick with accomplishing assigned tasks, and recognizes that a constant pursuit of accounting and tax knowledge is necessary. Company Description Brief History J. A. Garrison started his public accounting career with a large Fort Worth public accounting firm in December 1977 after graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University. As a staff member of this local accounting firm, he was responsible for accounting write-up engagements, audit opinion engagements, and related tax compliance matters. As a manager, he was responsible for the firm's accounting service department. Subsequently, Mr. Garrison took an audit manager position with an Arlington public accounting firm. As audit manager, he was responsible for managing and supervising the firm's audit engagements. In October 1984, J. A. Garrison began practicing as a sole proprietor, dedicated to and responsible for a client base of small businesses and substantial individuals. J. A.
