The resort features 400 full RV hookup sites; each with complimentary wireless internet access and cable TV and many other great amenities which include a general store, restaurant, heated pool, arcade, laundromat, bicycle rentals and miniature golf. Job Summary: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Convenience Store Manager will oversee the daily operations of the site’s convenience store, including meeting and exceeding sales goals, managing the staff, controlling expenses and ensuring a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail, exceptional leadership skills, ability to successfully drive sales and astute financial acumen. As a Convenience Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customers’ shopping experience and the overall performance of the store. Duties / Responsibilities : Store Operations Management: Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures; Maintain a clean and organized store environment; Manage financial transactions and prepare deposits; Implement and monitor loss prevention practices; Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations. Staff Management & Development: Provide managerial oversight for the store’s staff; Recruit, train, mentor and develop a successful sales team; Provide coaching, feedback and accountability initiatives for staff; Conduct performance evaluations; Create staff development plans to promote career growth; Create and manage staff schedules. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and order products and supplies; Minimize loss through effective inventory control; Coordinate inventory management, stock replenishment and merchandising. Sales & Performance Tracking: Maximize store sales and profitability; set sales goals and monitor performance sales trends; and implement strategies to achieve and increase sales targets and maximize profitability; Analyze reports and provide solutions to enhance store performance; Maintain accurate financial records and ensure the store operates within budgetary guidelines. Customer Service Excellence: Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through excellent service; Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints in a timely manner; Provide a positive and enjoyable shopping experience. Merchandising & Store Presentation: Oversee store layout and merchandise displays to optimize the shopping environment; Implement promotional activities and campaigns effectively. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; At least 3 years of proven success in managing a convenience / mini mart retail store; Strong leadership and team-building skills; Proficient in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and the Microsoft suite of products; Financial accuracy in the oversight and operation of the cash registers; Proficient mathematically; Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; Astute time management, attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, planning, effective multi-tasking, problem-solving, follow-through and customer service skills; Ability to stand for long periods of time and left at least 25 pounds. Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 DOE annual base salary for this full-time, exempt position. Benefits: Medical, vision, dental coverage paid 100% by employer for employee under the Bronze plan; buy-up options available to the Gold and Silver plans; dependent coverage available through employee’s payroll deductions; Life and Long-term disability insurance coverage for employee; 401(K) with an annual company match up to 5%; 7 paid public holidays annually, plus 1 floating day; 80 hours of paid vacation time in years 1 – 5; rising thereafter on an accrual basis; 40 hours of standard CA paid sick time, on an accrual basis. Working Hours: 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday – Friday; flexibility to work weekends, holidays. Nights and irregular hours, as needed.
