SERVPRO of Alexandria is hiring!
Were expanding our services with the addition of a
state-of-the-art Esporta machine to professionally clean textilesand were looking for a reliable, hands-on individual to operate it! In this position, you will play a vital role in cleaning and restoring a variety of textiles, including personal items, uniforms (e.g., school, nursing, police, fire department), hospital bedding, and items damaged by water, fire, smoke, and other incidentsensuring items are returned to their pre-loss condition. Like it never even happened! Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inventory, and document textile items for cleaning and restoration
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including the Esporta Wash System, washers, and dryers
- Pre-treat stains and odors, and perform specialized cleaning techniques as needed
- Maintain and organize inventory of textiles and cleaning supplies
- Inspect cleaned items for quality assurance before packaging them for return or storage
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure workflow efficiency
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and equipment
- Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of textile cleaning equipment and workspaces
Position Requirements:
- Valid drivers license
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in textile cleaning, dry cleaning, restoration, or similar field is a plus
Skills / Physical Demands / Competencies:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally (with assistance)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and operate machines with care
Pay starts at $15 an hour , with the potential for overtime pay.
Location: SERVPRO of Alexandria
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
