Patient Ratios: 1:1

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years RN experience, must be able to circulate all services including CT, Vascular, Surg Onc, Plastics, Colorectal, Robotics, Bariatric; scrubbing cardiac/vascular cases highly preferred

Charting System: Required, any (EPIC preferred)

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS (AHA)

License: SC RN or Multi?state RN license must be active at contract start

Radiation Badge: Required (provided by agency)

Work Settings: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)

Weekend Requirement: Possible weekend shifts; 1x24?hour on?call per month

Call Requirement: Yes, 1x24?hour on?call per month

Floating Requirement: Not specified

Patient Age Groups: Adults

Daily Census: ~28 procedures

Rooms/Beds: 10 rooms, total beds not specified

Key Skills / Duties

• Circulate in all CVOR specialties: CT, Vascular, Surg Onc, Plastics, Colorectal, Robotics, Bariatric
• Scrub cardiovascular surgery cases including CABG, MAZE, valve replacements, TAVR, LVAD/RVAD, aortic aneurysm repairs
• Assist in maintaining patient safety, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile field during surgery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: IV, Respiratory, Radiology, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary
• Maintain documentation in EPIC EMR
• Comply with facility modules (pre?start, non?billable, ~4 hours)
• Must comply with hurricane season emergency response assignment policy (JuneNovember, peak AugSep)

Special Requirements

• Orientation: 36 hours
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• COVID?19 vaccine not required
• Local radius rule: 60 miles (locals may be considered at 10% reduced bill rate)
• Social Security Number required at submission
• RTO (Requested Time Off) required at submission
• MUSC prioritizes non?local candidates first; previous permanent/PRN staff must be separated 1 year before traveling
