About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Conservation Policy to lead its national efforts in protecting and restoring imperiled species and habitats. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of policy experts, lawyers, and scientists to develop and implement programs and initiatives that enhance the conservation of biodiversity. This includes advocating for the improvement of federal conservation laws, promoting the development of climate- and biodiversity-friendly energy solutions, and working with various stakeholders to ensure the long-term management of public lands and waters for the benefit of wildlife. The role also involves providing senior leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with other departments to achieve the organization's conservation goals. Applicants for the Vice President, Conservation Policy position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with an advanced degree preferred, and at least 15 years of experience in the field, including 7 years in a supervisory role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wildlife and natural resource conservation, with experience in private, federal, and state agencies, and a deep understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
