About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Humanitarian and Emergency Affairs to lead within its International Programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership in the areas of rapid onset and complex emergencies. This includes coordinating with global partners on disaster management, leading resource mobilization efforts, and ensuring alignment with the organization's goals. The role also involves engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from government and private donors to humanitarian policy coalitions, and representing the company in various leadership capacities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the humanitarian sector, with a focus on risk management, and at least 15 years of leadership experience in an international context. Candidates for the Vice President position must have a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree strongly preferred, and a proven track record of work in humanitarian emergency contexts. The role requires a leader who can balance the needs of various stakeholders, drive for quality results, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to diverse working conditions. Essential skills include the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships, promote teamwork, and communicate effectively across different cultures. Experience in U.S. government and donor funding is a plus, as is proficiency in multiple languages. The role demands a thought leader who can advise on global HEA strategies and is committed to the organization's Christian values, including incorporating faith into professional and corporate life.
