Job Description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including the shipping and receiving of steel materials, as well as inventory management. This position provides direction, supervision, and guidance to warehouse personnel while ensuring compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and safety regulations. The Warehouse Manager ensures that inventory is shipped efficiently, accurately, and on time to meet customer requirements.

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, staging, order picking, and shipping.
  • Allocate inventory to customer orders using our computer software.
  • Produce packing lists and bills of lading for customer orders.
  • Ensure the warehouse remains organized, clean, and compliant with ISO standards.
  • Manage material handling operations, including overhead cranes, forklifts and steel cutting saw.
  • Communicate effectively with transportation personnel and carrier representatives to coordinate shipments and deliveries.
  • Assign daily work tasks to warehouse personnel based on customer orders.
  • Oversee all personnel activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and work instructions.
  • Enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping standards across the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety and quality policies, along with ISO standards, and customer requirements.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or supervision.
  • Strong leadership, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to enforce safety standards and promote compliance with company policies.
  • Experience working in ISO-compliant environments preferred.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
