Title: Warehouse Packer

Type of Placement: Temp to Perm

Shift: 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday (Overtime after 8 regular hours worked)

Pay: $16.00 per hour

SUMMARY:

• Responsibility is to help with building and packaging of crates. Preparing them for shipping.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Building of small to large crates for custom product shipping.
• Packaging of small to large scanning Machines used in airports and or government applications.
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Examining and inspecting orders to make sure specifications are met
• Ability to work independently on crate shipment and build to specify protective crating for the product being shipped.
• Keeping the warehouse in order and clean at all times
• Putting away materials and tools in their proper place

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)/Home School equivalency

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Must be able to perform physical tasks
• Must be able to bend, sit, stand for long periods of time, lift materials properly up to 50lbs
• Must have attention to detail and organizational skills
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends if needed

Environmental Conditions:

• Working in a warehouse can be a noisy, busy place with many warehouse operatives.
• Can be cold or warm environment depending on season.

Physical Capabilities:

• Must be able to: stand for 8 hours and move from role to role or sedentary standing; lift light to moderate amounts of weight; perform repetitive upper extremity motions and repetitive forceful grip/pinch movement requiring both hands.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
