LaSalle Network has partnered with a publicly held credit firm in downtown Chicago to hire on an Accounting Manager to their growing US team.

This Accounting Manager will serve as a critical link between accounting policy, operations, and the business, driving clarity, accuracy, and strategy across high-stakes accounting initiatives. If you want a role where your expertise truly shapes decisions, this one's for you.

This role is back in the Loop office 2x a week and is budgeted between $120,000-$140,000 base salary commensurate with experience along with additional bonus eligibility. Candidates that apply MUST have a CPA, and experience working in public accounting or at a public company.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical accounting activities for complex, unusual, or new transactions
• Draft detailed technical memos and communicate implications to leadership and auditors
• Partner cross-functionally to assess the accounting impact of new initiatives
• Manage accounting considerations for minority investments, cash flows, and impairment reviews
• Support statutory audits for newly acquired foreign entities
• Coordinate M&A-related accounting including entries, documentation, and audit requests
• Implement new accounting standards and internal controls in partnership with leadership
• Drive month-end close activities for relevant technical areas
• Identify process improvements and leverage technology to enhance efficiency

Requirements:

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including public accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field; active CPA required
• Big 4 experience strongly preferred
• Deep expertise in US GAAP and SEC reporting for public companies
• Strong relationship-building skills across finance and operational teams
• Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to diverse audiences
• High initiative, strong follow-through, and collaborative mindset
