Position Overview: Work as part of the HFC Engineering team to create and maintain accurate system, transport, enterprise and carrier operations fiber documentation.

Position Responsibilities: - Create and maintain accurate system, transport, enterprise, and carrier operations fiber documentation.
- Maintain and update engineering records of the network including network maps, optical schematics and wavelength plans.
- Provide support to NOC, Technical Operations and HFC groups to resolve HFC and IP issues.
- Work closely with HFC Managers, HFC Supervisors, HE Specialists, and Maintenance Technicians to facilitate additions and changes to HFC and IP networks.
- Perform diagnostics and ongoing maintenance to HFC and IP networks to provide optimum performance.
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
Position Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.
- Headend and HFC field experience required.
- Ability to read and understand fiber documentation required.
- Ability to quickly learn new software.
- Ability to troubleshoot IP based and HFC networks.
- Working knowledge of transport protocols.
- Working knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 switching and routing protocols; ie VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP.
