We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide support as a Buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for researching vendors, negotiating contracts, and setting policies related to purchasing.
Key Responsibilities \n - Requisitions and purchases pre-approved materials, products, and services.
\n - Performs research on requested materials, products, and services.
\n - Makes vendor recommendations based on products, materials, and/or services options, pricing, and delivery terms.
\n - Reconciles discrepancies between purchasing, delivery, and invoicing. Resolves accounts payable issues with internal and external customers.
\n - Prepares weekly and monthly purchasing activity reports.
\n - Negotiates and arranges for delivery of requested materials, products, and/or services.
\n - Develops and publishes requests for proposals.
\n - Offers research summaries, updates, and recommendations to managers and/or other departments/decision makers to ensure that more informed purchasing/costing decisions are made.
\n - Analyzes and processes ERP material requirements plan (MRP) information.
\n - Facilitates internal team meetings with suppliers to discuss areas such as pricing, quality, performance, and/or new product/project bids opportunities.
\n - Negotiates and arranges for the return of non-conforming materials (RMA) to the supplier.
\n - Maintains supplier files and confidentiality agreements.
\n - Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

\n - Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
\n - Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
\n - Writes routine reports and correspondence.
\n - Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides numbers (using currency and other forms of measurement).
\n - Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
\n - Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
\n - Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
\n - Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
\n - Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
\n - Uses noncomplex machines and equipment (adding machines, calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.).

Education and Experience \n - Three years of relevant education or experience in purchasing, logistics, or a related field (required).
\n - Equivalent of four years of high school (required).
\n - Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related degree (preferred).
\n

Computer Skills \n - \n Intermediate: Word processing/typing.
\n - \n Basic: Alphanumeric data entry, Microsoft Office suite.
\n
