Please read before applying! This Internship is IN-PERSON, IN OFFICE, meaning only college students that are already planning on living in the Richmond area this Summer and can commute to our offices in Richmond VA daily are encouraged to apply . If you are not going to be living in the Richmond VA area this coming summer of 2025, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY. This would be a full-time, paid internship for the summer only and will end when colleges typically go back into session.

Again, please do not apply if you are not already planning on living in Richmond Virginia this coming summer. This internship is not virtual, you will be working in our offices daily.

Summary/Objective:

Work independently to explore and analyze operational and project data, helping our team uncover trends, patterns, and insights that can drive smarter decision-making. You'll collaborate closely with our Software Integration Engineer to access the data you need but will have the freedom and autonomy to shape your own analysis.

Essential Functions:

• Work with fabrication data to develop performance metrics and extract key takeaways that can inform and improve job estimating and planning efforts, especially when dealing with high-volume, complex datasets
• Analyze data from key construction operations, including job costs, schedules, and resource usage
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate findings
• Identify trends, anomalies, or opportunities for efficiency or cost-savings
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and develop practical solutions
• Document data sources, assumptions, and recommendations clearly
• Present findings and insights for management and/or project teams

Supervisory Responsibility: No

Required:

• 1 - 2 years' data analyst experience in a construction environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience in college
• HS diploma, or GED equivalent
• Proven business, financial management and accounting principles
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
• Must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal history)
• Must adhere to all company policy and procedures

• Must be available, and have the means to report to an office setting daily

The work environment and physical demands required would be representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, and may include, but are not limited to the following:

Work Environment:

• Works in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment
• Position may require visits to construction site

Physical Demands:

• This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, filing cabinets and fax machines

Preferred:

• MS Project or other scheduling software tools experience
