Position: Data Reporting Analyst

In this exciting role, you'll leverage your expertise in Business Intelligence (BI), reporting, analytics, and planning to deliver comprehensive and visually engaging reports that empower informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop, design, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights to IT and business units.
- Gather and understand reporting requirements from stakeholders, creating tailored solutions that meet their needs.
- Analyze data from various sources to generate meaningful insights and reports.
- Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL Server, Excel, SharePoint, ERP, cloud services, etc.) into Power BI using Power Query and ETL tools.
- Design and implement data models and relationships aligned with IT reporting requirements.
- Perform data transformation tasks, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Design visually engaging and intuitive dashboards, enabling users to interpret data and make informed decisions easily.
- Optimize report and dashboard performance for efficient loading, even with large datasets.
- Continuously improve and enhance existing reports, implementing feedback and identifying new opportunities.
- Work closely with business analysts, IT teams, and stakeholders to understand evolving reporting needs.
- Ensure reports align with IT governance, data security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Provide training and support to internal teams and end-users on reporting tools and dashboards.
- Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and data models, ensuring clarity on their construction and sources.
- Establish and enforce best practices for report creation, design, and performance optimization.
- Implement scheduled refreshes and automated report delivery to relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information distribution.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices, ensuring the adoption of new functionalities that improve reporting and analytics.
Requirements: Technical Skills and Experience: - Proven experience in dashboard design, data modeling, and DAX.
- Demonstrated ability to develop reports and dashboards using Power BI, SQL, or other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
- Experience with data integration, transformation, and ETL processes across various data sources.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying, data manipulation, and creating complex queries across relational databases.
- Experience with data visualization and creating meaningful, easy-to-interpret dashboards and reports.
- Familiarity with data transformation tools such as Power Query.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to break down complex business requirements into actionable data models and reports.
- Ability to understand and document reporting requirements from diverse stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
Soft Skills: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (IT, business stakeholders, leadership).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and work effectively in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and consistency.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
- Adaptable and able to handle changes in priorities or reporting requirements.
Additional Desired Qualifications: - Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certifications in Power BI and Business Intelligence tools.
- MBA is a plus.
- Prior technical experience in software development is a plus.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, reporting, or a similar role, preferably in an IT environment.
- Familiarity with IT governance and best practices in reporting, data security, and compliance.
- Strong proficiency with Power BI (or similar BI platforms), including report creation and optimization.
Benefits: W2 employment with standard benefits, including health insurance and other typical employee benefits. Higher pay rate depending on experience level. The position is remote (remote within the US), providing flexibility to work from home.
