The Position:
As an employee at a small company there is a wide variety of work to be involved with. Work can include electronics and circuit design and development, functional testing, environmental testing, test set design, among other things. Many of the tasks require project management where you’ll be working with customers to define requirements and implement solutions to meet their needs.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong sense of ownership who wants to work on a broad variety of tasks. You’ll work with a small team to tackle challenges and deliver products.
The position is full time. This position is in-person in Lakewood, Colorado. Some travel might be required to visit customer or supplier facilities for coordination, testing, and other activities. Any travel is expected to be <10%.
Tasks:
· Electronics design of analog and digital circuits, including requirements development, circuit design, part selection, schematic capture, PCB placement and layout, and development testing. Take designed hardware through the entire product development lifecycle, from concept through to production.
· Electrical analysis including Worst Case Circuit Analysis, Electrical Stress Parts Analysis, Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis, and Signal Integrity Analysis.
· Conducting functional and environmental tests on designed and commercial hardware, including writing test plans, test procedures, and test requirements documents, designing a test setup to meet requirements, conducting a test, writing test reports, assessing any failures or observations and determining recommended solutions. Environmental tests including thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, EMI / EMC, and humidity testing.
· Project management to work with customers and develop requirements for various projects, develop schedules, identify critical tasks, and ensure things happen on time and on budget.
Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or similar, from an accredited university.
· 5 years minimum relevant industry experience.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
· Strong sense of ownership with an ability to work independently on large, open-ended projects, and handle problems.
· Able to get work done efficiently, on time and on budget.
· Excellent verbal and oral communication skills.
· Must be a US Person.
Additional Desirable but Not Mandatory Skills:
· Experience working on electrical and electronic systems with high reliability requirements in the aerospace or space industry.
Compensation:
$95,500k to $136,000k annual salary. This is a general guideline only, actual salary will be based on candidate’s experience and qualifications, and overall fit with the position.
