Job Description

Our client is a global manufacturer that designs, builds, and supports machinery and equipment used in various industries. This is typically large equipment that helps lift, move, and process materials safely and efficiently across industries like construction, infrastructure, recycling, and utilities. Due to their growth, they're looking to add a Field Service Engineer to their growing team.

AFTER GETTING THROUGH THE TRAINING PERIOD, THIS POSITION CAN SIT REMOTELY AND YOU WILL TRAVEL ~ 50% OF THE TIME (COMPANY CAR PROVIDED - ALL GAS/SERVICES PAID FOR, PAID OT, MULTIPLE BONUS PROGRAMS, COMPANY CREDIT CARD FOR ALL FOOD, TRAVEL, ETC.).

Position Overview:

Reporting to the North American Service Operations Manager and collaborating closely with the Sales and Engineering teams, this position is responsible for providing top-tier commissioning, service, and technical support. A major focus of the role is on the electrical systems that power and control equipment. You’ll serve as a key point of contact for dealers and customers, providing onsite assistance, training, and application support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality service and support as part of a dedicated North American technical team
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of washing equipment at customer and dealer locations
  • Collaborate with on-site electrical contractors to ensure proper connection to utilities and integration of components
  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to the North American dealer network
  • Support the sales team with application validation and technical sales discussions
  • Research and respond to inquiries related to parts and warranty issues
  • Deliver in-depth application and technical training to customers and dealers
  • Work with engineering and quality teams to ensure products meet the highest standards
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems efficiently and professionally

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with PLC's (Allen Bradley preferred)
  • Technical degree in an electrical field
  • At least 3 years of experience in the electrical trade

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems
  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 79, and CE standards
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD (preferably AutoCAD Electrical)
  • Experience with remote radio controls
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Strong decision-making and teamwork capabilities
  • Experience with instrumentation and mechanical systems

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% across North America and internationally
  • Valid passport required
