What You’ll Do

As the General Manager of a quick service restaurant (QSR), you will manage the overall operations and profitability of a food and beverage concept inside a travel plaza on a major highway. You will lead a team to meet or exceed financial and performance targets.

  • Lead daily activities of associates and managers to achieve sales, service speed, customer satisfaction, brand standards, and food safety.
  • Maintain budgets, inventory, food and labor costs, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and food safety standards.
  • Foster a positive work culture focused on learning, development, and recognition.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a strong team, handling hiring, coaching, training, and discipline as needed.
  • Monitor cash handling policies and ensure legal compliance.
  • Address customer issues professionally to build long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with support partners like HR, Finance, and Maintenance.
  • Maintain good relationships with vendors and the community.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong management, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Judgment and discretion in resolving issues.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and satisfaction.
  • Proficient with computers.
  • ServSafe Certification preferred.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in a QSR.
  • Flexible schedule, approximately 50 hours/week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift at least 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel to support other locations.
