Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative plays a key frontline role by collecting high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing. This position fosters trust and confidence with patients, delivering compassionate service while maintaining strict accuracy and confidentiality. Successful candidates will demonstrate leadership behaviors, maintain professionalism, and represent the company’s mission of improving lives through diagnostic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily specimen collection and processing under supervisor guidance.
Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
Execute forensic and clinical specimen duties confidently and according to procedures.
Verify and label specimens in the presence of patients, ensuring correct demographic data.
Keep accurate documentation and records as required.
Provide exceptional service while promoting a positive image to patients, clients, and staff.
Required Experience:
3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
2+ years in a Patient Service Center setting.
Customer service experience in retail or service environments.
Experience with data entry and electronic systems.
Required Skills:
Excellent phlebotomy skills, including for pediatric and geriatric patients
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong commitment to policies, procedures, and patient confidentiality
Preferred Skills:
Medical assistant or paramedic training
Phlebotomy certification (Required in CA, NV, and WA; preferred elsewhere)
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
Additional Skills:
Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and clean record
Capable of multi-tasking in high-volume environments
Superior customer focus and strong communication skills
Comfortable with frequent location changes and short-notice assignments
