The Subcontracts Administrator plays a crucial role in managing all procurement and administrative activities related to subcontracting. The administrator will oversee the full range of procurement and subcontract management, from pre-award activities to closeout. Under general supervision, this role will require problem-solving skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to navigate both field and best practices in subcontract administration. Roles and Responsibilities include effectively managing the lifecycle of procurement as related to subcontracting from pre-award to closeout, issuing requests for proposals, evaluating proposals, qualifying suppliers, maintaining accurate subcontract files in compliance with established procedures, and displaying expertise within the subcontracting focus while seeking continuous improvement within both processes and individual skills. Basic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, at least 2+ years of experience in subcontract administration or related procurement activities, strong understanding of procurement processes, proposal evaluation, and subcontract management, and excellent negotiation and communication skills. Preferred qualifications include previous experience working with government contracts and understanding of compliance requirements, ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment, familiarity with subcontractor claims resolution, and experience using procurement software or contract management systems.
